Extra bed request and delivery
Standard
A request for an extra bed can be made via Telephone Operator, Front Desk, Housekeeping or Reservations. The Housekeeping department will be responsible for delivering the rollaway to the correct room.
Procedure
RESERVATIONS:
1. Upon receiving a request for a extra bed at the time of reservation, the Reservation Sales Agent will confirm the price for the extra bed.
2. The Reservation Officer will then key the request into SMILE
3. Change the number of adults in the reservation if necessary
4. Place a note in the comment to inform housekeeping about the request for extra bed.
5. If a same day reservation is made where an extra bed has been requested, the Reservation will inform Front Desk of the new booking. The Reservation is also to inform Housekeeping to set up the extra bed in the appropriate room.
FRONT DESK:
1. If a request is made over the Front Desk, the Receptionist must be aware of which rooms will comfortably fit an extra bed and confirm that extra cost.
2. Upon acceptance of the charge, the Receptionist will inform HSK to set up as guest requests.
3. Key information into SMILE.
4. Change the number of persons in SMILE if necessary.
5. We charge for an extra adult (over age 12). Any extra bed for persons under this age there is no charge.
6. Inform the guest that the extra bed has been arranged and will be delivered shortly.
TELEPHONE OPERATOR:
1. The Telephone Operator must be aware of which rooms comfortably fit an extra bed.
2. The Telephone Operator will confirm the additional charge for the extra bed.
3. Upon acceptance of the charge, the Telephone Operator will contact the Housekeeping to set up. Key information into SMILE.
4. Change the number of persons in SMILE if necessary.
5. Inform the guest that the extra bed has been arranged and will be delivered shortly.
