Linen Store setup

Standard :

All hotel linen is always stored in clean dry store and well organized, the linen stock standard always includes minimum 3 parts (outside laundry), 2.5 parts inside laundry.

Procedures :

Conduct thorough stock counting (stock book) to ensure exact quantity of each item
Clean store and all the shelves.
Arrange linen separately on the shelf:

Ø Bed sheet: double bed sheet , single bed sheet

Ø Duvet

Ø Duvet cover

Ø Bath towel

Ø Hand towel

Ø Face towel

Minimum 2.5 part are always in operation.
Every item delivered and received for laundry washing must be recorded exactly and clearly every day.
Laundry attendants must conduct handover shifts through log book.
Store room must be clean and dry.
Make monthly linen inventory.
Report monthly linen balance to supervisor.
Separate spoiled linen.
Uniform:

Ø Some kind of uniform should be set up on shelf and most of uniform being hang on the rack.

Ø Separate each department.

Ø Uniform must be delivered quickly and always delivering clean and receiving dirty ones. Do not allow to keep 2 dirty uniforms at the same time.
