Assisting guests when departing by car

Standard

The Bell Attendants and Driver must assist with luggage and opening of car doors for all guest’s departing from the hotel.

Procedure

For departing guests, open car doors with the right hand and the left hand on your back.

Thank guests for staying and bid them farewell and invite to return. Use the guests’ name if known.

If the guest has baggage with them, inform them that their luggage has been loaded in the car’s boot and ask if they would like to check if everything is accounted for.

“Sir/Ma’am, you have four suitcases in the boot. Is that correct?”

Open the car door for the guest or guests and bid them farewell.

“Thank your for staying with us, Sir/Ma’am, We hope to see you again and Goodbye.”

Close the door gently by lightly pushing the door till is touches the car and then putting pressure into till it is fully shut.
